The Thing Nobody Points At
A prospect almost never says the spacing felt off. They say something felt off, and they can't tell you what. The misaligned button. The header sitting one pixel from where it belongs. The two blues that almost, but don't quite, match. Nobody names it out loud. Everybody feels it. That vague sense of unease is doing real work against you, and you'll never get the feedback that would let you fix it, because the person having the reaction doesn't know they're having it.
Precision Is a Proxy for Care
Details are a stand-in for everything the client can't see yet. If you sweat the kerning, the thinking goes, you'll sweat the contract. If the invoice is clean, the work will be clean. The client doesn't get to inspect your process before they hire you, so they read the only evidence in front of them, which is the details. The details are the audition. Every clean edge is quietly making the case that you can be trusted with the things that actually matter.
Craft Compounds Into Trust

Precision, surface after surface, is what a reputation is actually made of. The premium was never in a single perfect screen. It's in never once giving the eye a reason to doubt you. The big ideas get the credit and the applause. The small details are what quietly earn the trust. Hold the details nobody will ever thank you for. They're the ones deciding whether you get chosen.
